If you're currently dealing with serious water damage from a flood, broken pipe, or other cause, you're probably not sure what to do next. While it's understandable to feel panicky, it's important that you have the water removed as quickly as possible. When structural damage and health hazards are at play, time is of the essence. The longer you wait, the worse the damage will get. The damage you see with your eyes is usually the tip of the iceberg - most water damage gets deep in your carpets and walls fast.
Atlas' water damage restoration services are focused on restoring and repairing the damage that water causes to commercial property. The primary purpose of our restoration services is to return your property to the condition it was in prior to the damage. Once your water damage has been mitigated, our team swoops in to begin the restoration process.
Depending on the scope and severity of your water damage, common water damage restoration services can include:
- Damaged Flooring and Wall Replacement
- Damaged Roof Restoration
- Mold Remediation
- Humidity and Moisture Testing
While little can be done to predict natural disasters, there are common signs you can keep an eye on to prevent serious water damage from occurring.

Common Signs of Commercial Water Damage in Royse City, TX
There's no convenient time to be sidelined with water damage when it comes to your commercial property and business. Water damage to your commercial or industrial property is particularly devastating because every hour that your business is closed means lost revenue and productivity. You do not just have to deal with damage to the structural integrity of your building - you have to deal with the disruption of service to your loyal customers.
The good news? Atlas is here when you need us most, with a team of highly-trained technicians and unmatched water damage restoration expertise. We're ready to tackle your problem and solve it in an efficient, effective manner, so you can keep your doors open and your clients happy.
As a business owner, you know that one of the best ways to prevent a disaster is to nip it in the bud before it gets out of hand. For that reason, keep an eye out for the following signs of water damage to your commercial property:

Look for Mold:
Mold can begin to grow just a day or two after water has taken hold of your business. If you see small signs of mold growth in an area where you suspect a leak, contact Atlas National Renovations ASAP to diagnose the problem.

Check Your Pipes:
If it's safe to do so, check out the piping inside and outside your commercial property. You want to keep a keen eye out for oxidation and corrosion around pipe fixtures. While you're at it, check your water heater for rust too. Corrosion or rust is a telltale sign of a water leak.

Check for Rings:
Dark spots on walls and ceilings usually indicate water damage. If you see rings around a stain, the damage is probably older. Several rings with different shades of color mean an intermittent issue, where the area has been soaked and dried several times.

Understand Your Property:
This is more of a suggestion than a sign. As the commercial property owner, you should know your building's pipe system. You should know what is old and new and what areas may be at risk for water damage. Keep an extra-close eye on areas that have a higher potential for leaks, especially during rainstorms.
Benefits of Commercial Water Damage Restoration

For the most effective, comprehensive solution to water damage, it's important that you hire a professional. At Atlas National Renovations, our primary focus is assisting business owners and commercial property managers with water damage restoration. We've been doing it for years, and we can help you too.

Royse City made a decently large jump from class 5A Div. II to 6A as part of this year’s biennial realignment. Say goodbye to Ennis, Forney, Corsicana and the other teams it shared District 8-5A Div. II with for the previous two seasons. Say hello to Rockwall and Rockwall-Heath, a pair of area-ranked perennial contenders it’ll now face in District 10-6A.
But Royse City coach David Petroff — who’s seen his team rise from 4A Div. II to the state’s largest classification since his first season on the sideline in 2013 — told his players that the program won’t change how it operates despite the growth.
“It doesn’t matter what classification we are,” Petroff said. “We’re going to play our style of football.”
Through two regular season games, you can see why Petroff would say that.
Royse City (2-0) has totaled more offensive yards (1,347) than any other Dallas-area high school football team after two weeks. It ranks first among area 6A teams in rushing yards (753) and second in passing yards (676). It’s averaged 52.5 points per game (second among DFW 6A teams) in two non-district wins after averaging the fourth-most yards per game (472.73) of any area 5A team last year.
“We graduated [just] two seniors,” Petroff said. “We had a lot of kids coming back, starting up front with four offensive lineman. That’s a huge part. Having Sam [Mitchum] back as a returning starter at running back, having your quarterback [Kenneth Spring] back is always huge in Texas high school football. If you’ve got a quarterback, you’ve got a chance.”
Spring, a senior, passed for 1,941 yards and 19 touchdowns in his first season as Royse City’s starter in 2021. It was his first experience of Texas high school football after he’d moved to Royse City from California before the year.
Through two games, Spring has completed 63% of his passes for 652 yards and 6 touchdowns. His passing yards trail only Little Elm senior Kellen Tasby (707) among Dallas-area 6A quarterbacks.
“He was a dang good football player for us last year,” Petroff said. “But he had just moved in from California. He was learning the offense, learning Texas football, and he got better as the season went on. Now, we’ve got a year under our belt.”
And Mitchum, who started at tailback last year next to Ahmon Dozier, has the second-most rushing yards (391) of any Dallas-area 6A player to go along with seven touchdowns. Mitchum, a senior, rushed for 681 yards last season as Dozier (who “blue-shirted” at TCU this year) rushed for 1,185 yards and 16 touchdowns.
“We actually moved Ahmon to our ‘F” and put Sam at our ‘A’, which is our running back,” Petroff said of last season’s scheme. “[Dozier] ran the ball a lot, but he caught a lot more passes last year. Really, Sam was our running back. Dozier had more carries, but we don’t move Dozier if we don’t believe Sam could get it done.”
All that, plus senior wide receiver Jonah Roberson (the younger brother of SMU safety Roderick Roberson Jr.), who caught eight touchdowns last year, create a formidable attack.
Royse City’s top three wide receivers — Roberson, junior Ja’Cori Williams and junior Hayden Tanksley — have an average yards per reception of 29, 23.71 and 28.8, respectively.
“We’ve always sought balance, but we end up being more run-heavy year in and year out,” Petroff said. “We run the ball wit success, and a lot of times that sets up big plays offensively.”
Royse City opened with a 58-0 Week 1 win over Grand Prairie, a 6A playoff team last year, and 47-20 win over The Colony in Week 2. It plays area-ranked Melissa (0-2), a 5A team, in Week 3, and Arlington Bowie (0-2) in Week 4 before district play begins.
“[The Grand Prairie win] was a huge confidence boost,” Petroff said. “Because we’re still, ‘alright, where are we compared to some of these other [6A] teams?’ And people on our schedule, with the exception of North Forney, they’re all new to us. It’s a completely new schedule for us, so it builds some confidence.
“But we’ve got to stay humble, and realize none of that matters if you don’t play well against Melissa.”
