What is Water Damage Restoration in in Plano, TX
If you're currently dealing with serious water damage from a flood, broken pipe, or other cause, you're probably not sure what to do next. While it's understandable to feel panicky, it's important that you have the water removed as quickly as possible. When structural damage and health hazards are at play, time is of the essence. Common Signs of Commercial Water Damage in Plano, TX
There's no convenient time to be sidelined with water damage when it comes to your commercial property and business. Water damage to your commercial or industrial property is particularly devastating because every hour that your business is closed means lost revenue and productivity. You do not just have to deal with damage to the structural integrity of your building - you have to deal with the disruption of service to your loyal customers.
The good news? Atlas is here when you need us most, with a team of highly-trained technicians and unmatched water damage restoration expertise. We're ready to tackle your problem and solve it in an efficient, effective manner, so you can keep your doors open and your clients happy.
As a business owner, you know that one of the best ways to prevent a disaster is to nip it in the bud before it gets out of hand. For that reason, keep an eye out for the following signs of water damage to your commercial property:
Look for Mold:
Mold can begin to grow just a day or two after water has taken hold of your business. If you see small signs of mold growth in an area where you suspect a leak, contact Atlas National Renovations ASAP to diagnose the problem.
Check Your Pipes:
If it's safe to do so, check out the piping inside and outside your commercial property. You want to keep a keen eye out for oxidation and corrosion around pipe fixtures. While you're at it, check your water heater for rust too. Corrosion or rust is a telltale sign of a water leak.
Check for Rings:
Dark spots on walls and ceilings usually indicate water damage. If you see rings around a stain, the damage is probably older. Several rings with different shades of color mean an intermittent issue, where the area has been soaked and dried several times.
Understand Your Property:
This is more of a suggestion than a sign. As the commercial property owner, you should know your building's pipe system. You should know what is old and new and what areas may be at risk for water damage. Keep an extra-close eye on areas that have a higher potential for leaks, especially during rainstorms.
Benefits of Commercial Water Damage Restoration

PLANO, Texas — A 4-year-old boy in a Spider-Man outfit paraded through St. Mark Catholic School in Plano on Wednesday, vanquishing villains and rescuing fellow superheroes. But the effort by students at the school was all about rescuing him.
Beckett Butcher, part of his journey through the school on a specially-made Spider-Man tricycle as students stood in the hallways and cheered, has had a difficult first four years. Born with a congenital heart defect has meant open heart surgery each summer of his four years.
So, the kids at St. Mark, in their Make-A-Wish tradition, lined the hallways and cheered as Beckett went room to room "knocking out" students dressed like Marvel and DC villains and "rescuing" his fellow superheroes like Batman and Thor. Beckett's mom and his four older sisters followed him on the journey through the campus with their own Super Mom and Super Sis capes the school gave them.
"I hope they get out of it just a love for serving," St. Mark teacher Stacy Oliver said of her students. The 7th and 8th grade classes sponsor a Make-A-Wish child every two years. "Planning each room and coming up with the details then actually getting to act today and to see the joy in this family's face."
"Especially since we're a Catholic school, I feel like this really embodies who we are and what we do for others," said student Catalina Mora.
“The 7th and 8th grade students at St. Mark Catholic School in Plano are incredible,” said Principal Pam Steinkirchner. “Over the last two school years, they’ve raised just over $11,000 for a fantastic Make-A-Wish reveal for a precious little boy.”
That reveal was a surprise to Beckett, and from the tears shed, apparently to his two youngest sisters as well. The money raised, and revealed to Beckett in a puzzle he had to put together at the end of his tour through the school, spelled out an all-expense paid family vacation to Disney World.
"This was over the top and every aspect was thought out amazing," said Beckett's mom Sarah Butcher. "I cannot thank this school enough."
The gesture lets the students at St. Mark see the results of service in action. And, for the Butcher family, this will be their first family vacation since Beckett was born. And it will be his first plane ride ever.
"We leave tomorrow morning at 6:20 a.m.," Beckett's mom suddenly realized. "So, ready or not, we are headed to Disney!"
A 4-year-old superhero and his family headed to Disney, blessed with the knowledge that a community of complete strangers is doing its best to help save him.

PLANO, TEXAS — When it comes to new product innovation, few companies, if any, can match what Frito-Lay North America, a division of a part of PepsiCo, Purchase, NY, does on an annual basis.
During the past year, the Plano, Texas-based snack producer has rolled out a flurry of new snack varieties and limited-time offers to create excitement and generate activity in the snack aisle.
What is driving innovation at Frito-Lay? Jared Johnson, vice president of innovation within Frito-Lay North America’s marketing function, explains how the company is engaging consumers and responding to emerging trends in this interview for SNAC World magazine, a publication produced by Sosland Publishing in conjunction with SNAC International. The publication mails in March and will be available at SNAXPO., which runs from March 19-21 in Orlando, Fla.
With much of the attention in food on sustainability, transparency and health and wellness, the significance of the trend around nostalgia and comfort has surprised me as consumers yearn for a simpler time given the vast uncertainty of the last few years. Consumers are seeking out brands and products that are familiar and comforting. This is not to suggest sustainability, transparency or health and wellness are not key trends in snacking, they are. We are seeing a focus both on the past and future play out simultaneously.
The trends that have guided our 2023 innovation pipeline are drawn from our understanding of consumer behavior, specifically as we move past the pandemic. Some behaviors are new, like how our homes serve more as a hub to how we work, live and play. Our 2023 Snack Index backs up the role the home plays in consumers’ snacking habits: we found most Americans enjoy snacks at home with family (62%) or when taking time for themselves (62%). Other behaviors, like an increasingly on-the-go lifestyle or the blurring of lines between snacks and meals, were put on halt during the pandemic and are now rebounding.
Flavor and texture are central to how Americans snack. For example, our 2023 Snack Index shows nearly 1 in 4 Americans’ preference for salty snacks and almost half of consumers prefer their snacks in a puff style. We are also seeing that more than 70% of consumers say they’re more excited to try new flavors or variations of their favorite snacks in 2023 than in previous years. We spend a lot of time understanding not only how flavors and textures are evolving across food and beverage, but more importantly what they deliver to the consumer both physically and emotionally and how they impact consumers’ snacking behaviors. We are very mindful of innovating snacks that deliver on our brand promises while delighting consumers across all their snacking occasions.
To answer this question, you need to first understand how Americans’ lives are evolving, their relationship with food and beverage and the role that snacks play. Simply put, great taste, joy and treating oneself will continue to be essential components of snacking. But we also see that Americans are snacking more than ever before as they shift from three meals a day to mini meals that fit their busy lifestyles. With this shift comes increased expectations around functional benefits from snacks. Consumers also increasingly look for brands to reflect their values, which puts more emphasis on our snack brands to not just deliver a great snack experience, but to deliver purpose and be mindful of the impact they make on our planet.
Our growth comes from a number of factors. First, consumers’ evolving lifestyles have led to an increase in overall snacking. Second, the desire to get together more often in real life post-pandemic has led to an increase in social snacking. Last, a desire for brands that meet consumer needs across fun, comfort and better choices. We have such a wide variety of snacks and amazing brands that deliver on needs across the snacking spectrum.
Being innovative in how we interact with consumers is critical as we look to break through the clutter of today’s online environment. We’ve seen great success using social platforms as an opportunity to have an ongoing conversation with consumers, where their comments and DMs help us truly understand the pulse of how they are feeling. We’ve found strong engagement in adding value to our consumers lives, with a good example being our recipe inspiration posts for brands like Tostitos and Doritos.

Baphomet bedside buddies, upside down crosses, spewing Satan sinks and a devilish welcome, one Facebook user claimed a satanic hotel would soon be opening in Plano, Texas. But don’t pull out the rosaries and holy water yet, the hotel is not actually real.
On Feb. 23, a Facebook user claimed that a satanic hotel was supposedly opening in an abandoned office building in the heart of the Downtown Plano Art District.
The post showed a handful of painted pentacles on walls, demonic bedside statues, Satan’s mouth bathroom sinks and a fiery cross that lights up the pool.
But the Baphomet-themed hotel won’t be coming anywhere near Plano. The images were created using an AI art platform. According to The Buzz, an Instagram account posted photos showing how AI art can be made using a specific algorithm. In this case, a satanically-spooky hotel.
The trolling Facebook post claimed that the “hotel” would open on June 6th at 6 p.m. (yes, 666). Surprisingly most commenters on the social media post were not too upset about the prospect of the sinful hotel but instead shared their excitement to visit.
If you are curious about what a satanic hotel would even look like check out the original artist’s work here.
“The city encourages visitors to Plano to explore lodging options on the Visit Plano website,” the city of Plano responded to Local Profile’s inquiry about the hotel.
If you’re disappointed the spooky hotel is a fake, the Satanic Temple of Dallas-Fort Worth is very real and operating.
Despite the hotel being nothing but art, North Texas does have a history with a terrifying dark side. Ranch 111 was reportedly an abandoned Scout camp. Today, it’s home to a subdivision of homes, Firewheel Golf Course and One-Eleven Park in Garland. Collaboration aims to provide underrepresented students with hands-on experience and bridge the cybersecurity skills gap
PLANO, Texas, March 14, 2023--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tentacle, a platform that enables organizations to assess and enhance their information security posture, communicate with stakeholders, and manage third-party risks effectively, has partnered with The Washington Center in an innovative micro-internship program that focuses on advancing equity and diversity in cybersecurity. Together with other industry and academic partners, Tentacle and The Washington Center are committed to promoting inclusion and diversity in cybersecurity and empowering the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.
The Washington Center’s mission is to create flexible, immersive pathways to enhance the pipeline of diverse talent and to build more equitable, inclusive workplaces and communities. To focus this mission on an industry with critical recruitment needs, yet historic underrepresentation in gender, race and academic diversity, the non-profit organization created the Cybersecurity Accelerator Program. This first-of-its kind program is focused on building career opportunities for historically marginalized learners, and supporting them with skills training, mentorship and networking in the cybersecurity sector. Collaboration with employers, including Tentacle, along with industry thought leaders and higher education has created a solution to help address equitable hiring challenges facing the industry.
"We are pleased Tentacle has partnered with us in this innovative approach to accelerate cybersecurity skills. There are serious risks if employers don’t break systemic recruitment practices and give opportunity to those who might not fit the traditional model. Not only will they miss out on great talent, such as first-generation college students, minorities, neurodivergent learners or those with caregiving responsibilities that limit access to traditional internships, they will also hinder innovation and the diverse approaches to problem solving cybersecurity requires," says Kim Churches, President of The Washington Center.
Tentacle hopes that its own actionable equality plan can serve as an example for other organizations exploring a similar path. To learn more about Tentacle’s equality plan, visit: .
