If you're currently dealing with serious water damage from a flood, broken pipe, or other cause, you're probably not sure what to do next. While it's understandable to feel panicky, it's important that you have the water removed as quickly as possible. When structural damage and health hazards are at play, time is of the essence. The longer you wait, the worse the damage will get. The damage you see with your eyes is usually the tip of the iceberg - most water damage gets deep in your carpets and walls fast.
Atlas' water damage restoration services are focused on restoring and repairing the damage that water causes to commercial property. The primary purpose of our restoration services is to return your property to the condition it was in prior to the damage. Once your water damage has been mitigated, our team swoops in to begin the restoration process.
Depending on the scope and severity of your water damage, common water damage restoration services can include:
- Damaged Flooring and Wall Replacement
- Damaged Roof Restoration
- Mold Remediation
- Humidity and Moisture Testing
While little can be done to predict natural disasters, there are common signs you can keep an eye on to prevent serious water damage from occurring.

Common Signs of Commercial Water Damage in Grand Prairie, TX
There's no convenient time to be sidelined with water damage when it comes to your commercial property and business. Water damage to your commercial or industrial property is particularly devastating because every hour that your business is closed means lost revenue and productivity. You do not just have to deal with damage to the structural integrity of your building - you have to deal with the disruption of service to your loyal customers.
The good news? Atlas is here when you need us most, with a team of highly-trained technicians and unmatched water damage restoration expertise. We're ready to tackle your problem and solve it in an efficient, effective manner, so you can keep your doors open and your clients happy.
As a business owner, you know that one of the best ways to prevent a disaster is to nip it in the bud before it gets out of hand. For that reason, keep an eye out for the following signs of water damage to your commercial property:

Look for Mold:
Mold can begin to grow just a day or two after water has taken hold of your business. If you see small signs of mold growth in an area where you suspect a leak, contact Atlas National Renovations ASAP to diagnose the problem.

Check Your Pipes:
If it's safe to do so, check out the piping inside and outside your commercial property. You want to keep a keen eye out for oxidation and corrosion around pipe fixtures. While you're at it, check your water heater for rust too. Corrosion or rust is a telltale sign of a water leak.

Check for Rings:
Dark spots on walls and ceilings usually indicate water damage. If you see rings around a stain, the damage is probably older. Several rings with different shades of color mean an intermittent issue, where the area has been soaked and dried several times.

Understand Your Property:
This is more of a suggestion than a sign. As the commercial property owner, you should know your building's pipe system. You should know what is old and new and what areas may be at risk for water damage. Keep an extra-close eye on areas that have a higher potential for leaks, especially during rainstorms.
Benefits of Commercial Water Damage Restoration

Six days of Major League Cricket begins Thursday in Grand Prairie and the inaugural game featuring the Texas Super Kings will be played before a full house.
DFW's Texas Super Kings host the Los Angeles Knight Riders at 7:30 p.m. at Grand Prairie Stadium, the former home of the AirHogs near Lone Star Park.
"Since we arrived in Texas, it's been incredible to see the support for the Texas Super Kings. We can't wait to get out on the field at Grand Prairie Stadium and represent the Lone Star State in front of a full house and be part of a special night for cricket in America," said Faf du Plessis, captain of the Texas Super Kings.
Both teams will feature global cricket superstars playing alongside the best domestic talent.
"It's going to be a historic night at Grand Prairie Stadium, as the first ever Major League Cricket game unfolds in front of a packed stadium this Thursday night. I've always spoken about wanting to represent the Knight Riders wherever they play," said Sunil Narine, captain of the Los Angeles Knight Riders. "We've long talked about coming to the United States and I'm glad it's finally happening. It's great to hear that the opening game has been sold out, and we can't wait to bring our exciting brand of cricket to the cricket fans in America."
"Fans will experience an unforgettable night for cricket in America on Thursday, with a full house welcoming the world's best players to Grand Prairie Stadium for Major League Cricket's opening match," said Sameer Mehta, co-founder of Major League Cricket.
Mehta said tickets are selling fast for other matches and they expect future sellouts. Thursday's game is the first of eight to be played at the park between July 13-18.
On Friday, MI New York takes on the San Francisco Unicorns and the Seattle Orcas will play the Washington Freedom. On Saturday the Unicorns face the Orcas and on Sunday the Super Kings return to the pitch to face the Freedom while the Knight Riders play New York. On Monday the Super Kings play New York and on Tuesday, the Knight Riders play the Unicorns.
After leaving Grand Prairie, the teams will head to Morrisville, North Carolina where they'll play seven games at Church Street Park before heading back to North Texas for the playoffs and championship at the end of the month.
"We know our teams will put on an amazing show of explosive T20 cricket for the fans - we can't wait for the action to start," Mehta said.
If the lure of a new sport in North Texas isn't enough of a draw, there will be a drone show Thursday showcasing the league's six teams at the innings break, an aerobatic aerial display from a GB1 GameBird and a post-game fireworks display.
Tickets are available at majorleaguecricket.com.

A popular sport in other parts of the world comes to North Texas. It's one way to stay active while beating the heat.
Texas Super Kings co-owner Anurag Jain says he's very excited to bring the sport to North Texas.
"Cricket is a very important part of my life growing up. I played on the streets of India, many a street window was broken while I was playing cricket," said Jain. "This is very exciting that I am bringing that sport that I love so much, that my family loves so much, to this country which is now my home."
The Super Kings are one of six teams in the MLC and are coached by Stephen Fleming, a former captain of the New Zealand National Cricket Team.
Just last week, the Super Kings announced the players signed for the inaugural season, naming Faf Du Plessis, from South Africa, as the captain.
If you don't know the rules or understand cricket, they say the best thing you can do is come out to watch a match and learn.
"It's a great sport. 120 pitches, 3 and a half hours. It is superfast, once you get into it, you understand the nuances, you like it. But the most important thing is 2.5 billion watch it. It is more than a sport it is a way of life," said Jain.
The season opens on July 13, when the Super Kings will take on the LA Knight Riders in Grand Prairie.
The renovated stadium can hold 7,200 fans and tickets are on sale now.
Jain said his hope is to land a World Cup game in Grand Prairie in 2024.

Pennsylvania brewpub Voodoo Brewing Co. is moving into Texas with a location in Grand Prairie, near one of Dallas-Fort Worth’s most bustling developments.
“This was all fields,” says franchise operator Roland Rios, who has lived in Grand Prairie since 2004. He’s pointing to the construction near Grand Prairie’s State Highway 161. There’s an Ikea across the street.
Behind Voodoo, Bass Pro Shops and Andretti Indoor Karting are expected to move in. By 2024, the city announced that BigShots Golf — a TopGolf competitor — will open nearby. On the other side of Highway 161 looms Grand Prairie’s ambitious EpicCentral development with two hotels and several man-made lakes.
Rios operates a manufacturing company in Dallas that makes boxes and plastic bags, but he chose his home city of Grand Prairie to open a franchise brewpub because of all the recent development.
Voodoo specializes in pizzas, bar snacks and craft beers and is expected to open May 12, 2023.
The original Voodoo brewery hails from Meadville, Pa., and has been open nearly 20 years. The company accelerated its franchise program when Denver company Raintree acquired the national franchising rights to Voodoo during the coronavirus pandemic, according to the Denver Business Journal. Rios says 2023 will be its biggest boom so far, with plans to open a dozen franchised brewpubs across the U.S. this year.

Plans are in place for at least 40 Voodoo franchise brewpubs nationwide.
The restaurant and bar in Grand Prairie feels casual, with tabletops made out of pallets and bright-colored art splashed on the walls. All Voodoo franchises have the same core menu, and the brewery’s top-selling Good Vibes IPA is used in many of the food recipes. The burger buns are baked with brewer’s spent grains.
Sean Kirzyc, franchise culinary director, says some of the most popular menu items are the Three Little Pigs pizza made with chorizo, bacon and pepperoni; a big pretzel served with house-made mustard and beer cheese; and the Foodoo Burger, a smashburger made with brisket, short rib and chuck.
It’s Rios’ first brewpub, and he says working with a franchise like Voodoo removed some of the barriers of navigating the food and beverage industry. All the beer is brewed in Pennsylvania, then shipped to Texas.
“I’ve always wanted to have a bar,” Rios says. “I wanted to have a happy place.”
In 2016, Paste magazine called Voodoo “one of the most creative breweries out there.” It has named beers that reference South Park and Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls. Some of the big sellers are a Belgian tripel called Voodoo Love Child and a sour Berliner weisse, Lacto-Kooler.
Craft beer has expanded from a small market of nearly 1,500 breweries across the United States in 2007 to more than 9,000 today, according to the Brewers Association. Franchise brewpubs are rarer, and Raintree CEO Brent Dowling told the Business Journal in 2021 that he believes they are primed for a resurgence, post-COVID.
Rios signed a franchise agreement to open Voodoo in Grand Prairie in April 2022. Next, another franchise operator is expected to open a Voodoo in Plano. Plans call for other locations in Fort Worth, Prosper, Houston and Austin.
Voodoo Brewing Co. is at 1015 Ikea Place, Grand Prairie. It opens May 12, 2023, and the grand-opening party is May 13, 2023..
