Our Fire Damage Restoration Process
It's imperative to have someone with knowledge and experience on your side during a fire crisis.
When you call ANS, our fire restoration experts can help walk you through the steps you need to take once a fire occurs. This allows us to quickly gain control of the restoration project on your behalf. Once we have inspected your property, we'll provide a detailed report and scope of work for your fire damage restoration project.
ANS repairs all property damage caused by soot, smoke, and fire. Our IICRC-certified fire restoration teams construct the best plan to quickly get your building back to its pre-loss condition.

Because every property is different, each fire restoration project for apartment buildings is too. However, every fire disaster will have a similar process and will often include:
Contact ANS
Your fire restoration process begins when you call our headquarters. Our specialist will ask you a series of questions about the fire event that occurred. That way, we can arrive on-site with the proper resources and equipment.
Fire Damage Assessment
and Inspection
Our fire damage restoration team will carefully inspect the entirety of your apartment complex, from building to building and room to room. We do so to determine the extent of your apartment's fire, smoke, and soot damage. This step is crucial to developing a comprehensive restoration plan.
Board-Up Services
First responders like firefighters must break windows and cut holes in roofs to slow fire growth and save lives. Once the fire is out, our team can get to work, boarding up holes and constructing temporary fencing around the property.
Water Removal
If there is water damage associated with your apartment fire, we'll remove most of the water immediately. From there, we use air movers and dehumidifiers to help complete the drying process.
Smoke and Soot Removal
Within minutes of a fire, walls, electronics, and other surfaces are covered in soot. Smoke and ash continue to cause damage to every inch of your apartment building. That's why ANS uses specialized equipment to remediate smoke damage and remove odors. This process is often labor-intensive and can take time, especially for large fire damage restoration needs.
Cleaning and Sanitizing
Using a variety of restoration and cleaning techniques, our team will help clean restorable items and sanitize units for safety.
Restoration
Getting your apartment buildings to their pre-fire conditions is our ultimate goal. Depending on the size and scope of the fire restoration job, minor repairs like painting, drywall replacement, and new carpet installation might be needed. You might also need major structural renovations like re-siding, re-roofing, new window installation, floor replacement, and more.
Tips for Preventing Apartment Fires
If you're a property manager or own multifamily residential buildings, the thought of an apartment fire is terrifying. What starts as a small fire can quickly turn into a catastrophic event, with your entire complex up in flames. However, one of the best ways of preventing these fires is to know more about them.
Share these tips with tenants to help prevent deadly apartment fires:
Turn Off Heat Sources

Data shows that a large number of apartment fires begin with cooking. Often, these fires are caused by the ignition of common items like rags, curtains, wallpapers, and bags. Encourage tenants to keep their kitchens and cooking areas clear of combustibles. Never leave a stove unattended for long, and don't leave burners on by themselves. Unintentional mishaps like leaving heat sources on are common causes of fires that can be prevented with a little forethought.
Electrical Safety

Like heat sources, electrical malfunctions are also common causes of fires in apartment complexes. It's hard to prevent all electrical malfunctions, but you can tell tenants to avoid bad habits. Tips include never using extension cords as permanent solutions and never using a cable if the third prong is missing.
Appliance Safety

Appliances are a part of everyone's lives. They're also standard equipment in most apartment units. But if tenants don't take proper precautions, these useful tools can spark deadly fires.
Tips for Preventing Apartment Fires
No matter how large or small, fires are nightmare scenarios for entrepreneurs with commercial properties. Fire damage can completely ruin storefronts and offices, leaving charred remains and burned-up files before firefighters arrive. To make matters worse, soot and smoke damage ruin your businesses' furniture, HVAC system, carpet, walls, and windows.
To eliminate health hazards and restore your business to its pre-fire condition, you need to bring in a team of professionals with years of experience in fire damage remediation. At ANR, we use commercial-grade equipment and cutting-edge tools to clean up the aftermath of your fire and rebuild your property. That way, you can get back to running your business and providing for your family.

Share these tips with tenants to help prevent deadly apartment fires:
Remove Smoke and Fire Damage

One of the most common causes of large commercial loss stems from smoke and fire damage. Of course, these disasters cause injuries and fatalities. But they also generate tremendous amounts of damage, rot, mold, and harm to structures. Not to mention the devastation that fire damage has to the appearance and livability of the facility. Fire damage restoration companies restore - and also prevent - the root cause of the fire. Electrical outlets, wires, and other fire-prone items will all be addressed to prevent a subsequent disaster.
Highly Skilled

The best fire damage restoration professionals are highly-trained, exceptionally skilled, and properly equipped to deal with every aspect of a commercial fire. From handling major renovations to taking care of the lingering effects of smoke damage, pro fire restoration companies take care of it for you. Hiring ANR means you'll be working with technicians who have the knowledge, tools, and materials to get the job done right the first time.
Insurance Claims

When you start the claim process with your businesses' insurance company, they'll ask whether you've hired a fire damage restoration company. That's because companies like Atlas prevent further damage from occurring and calculate an estimate of your total loss. You can submit this estimate to your insurance company, which may then provide you with resources to complete your company's disaster recovery mt-md-1

FORNEY, TEXAS — City of Forney voters will be asked to vote on 5 bond proposals totaling $234.8 million when early voting commences on Monday.
During the Forney City Council meeting on August 16, the Council unanimously voted to call a bond election a proposed bond program that would address identified projects based on the 84+% growth the City has experienced over the past 12 years.
It has been 16 years since the city has done a bond.
The proposed projects came from a bond committee made of up city officials, residents, business owners, and other stakeholders who formulated the proposal after months of meetings and exploratory discussions.
If the voters approve all five propositions there will be a tax rate impact of $0.36.
The most common denominator behind all the proposals is Forney's explosive growth.
There are over 4,300 future single family lots and roughly 985 future multi-family units in the planning stages across the district. Pursuant to the 2022 demographic data, it is anticipated that the population of Forney, TX could reach well over 40,000 by the year 2030 according to the city.

UNT special teams outlook for 2023: Mean Green have voids to fill after losing Mooney, other top contributors

Key returners: P Sawyer Evans (Junior, 6-3, 189), LS Collin Brown (Junior, 5-11, 230), LS JP Hadley (Senior, 6-3, 258), K Chris Cayton (Redshirt freshman, 5-11, 175), KR Kaylon Horton (Senior, 5-10, 175), PR Roderic Burns (Senior, 5-10, 200)
Key losses: K Ethan Mooney (graduation), P Bernardo Rodriguez (graduation)
Newcomers: K Noah Rauschenberg
Biggest unanswered question: Who takes over for Mooney?
UNT has enjoyed a run of elite kickers in recent years. Mooney finished his career as the Mean Green’s all-time leading scorer with 331 points and received either preseason or postseason All-Conference USA honors in each of the last four seasons.
UNT had Cole Hedlund and Trevor Moore, two more elite kickers, before Mooney.
The Mean Green are hoping Rauschenberg or Cayton can fill the void Mooney left. Cayton hit three of his four extra points in a win over Louisiana Tech last season while filling in.
Mooney hit 18 of his 21 field goal attempts in 2022, when he had two blocked. He also hit all but one of his 55 extra points.
Rauschenberg was a kickoff specialist for four seasons at Baylor and will have the chance to show that he can handle the kicking duties. It seems like a foregone conclusion that he will kick off after he excelled at the job at Baylor. He finished with 180 touchbacks on 243 attempts.
Why 2023 production could be better: Losing Mooney and Rodriguez will be tough for UNT, but the Mean Green do have some talented special teams contributors returning.
Horton returned a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown in UNT’s loss to UNLV and averaged 25.9 yards per return. He was named to the All-Conference USA first team.
Burns is back to return punts.
Why 2023 production could be worse: UNT is starting over in the kicking game without Mooney and Rodriguez.
Both were productive players. Rodriguez averaged 40.5 yards per punt and had 19 kicks downed inside opponents’ 20-yard line in 2022, when he posted five punts of more than 50 yards.
The chances Rauschenberg or Cayton are as accurate and dependable as Mooney are slim. Rodriguez also leaves some big shoes to fill.
Mooney had a ton of experience. Rauschenberg hasn’t served as a team’s primary field goal and extra points kicker since high school.
Cayton sat on the sideline nearly all of last season.
Overall outlook: Bringing Horton and Burns back gives UNT a solid foundation to build from, but the Mean Green have more questions than answers on special teams heading into the 2023 season.
Landing Rauschenberg gives UNT a second option at kicker to go along with Cayton, but he won’t arrive in Denton until over the summer.
Finding a new punter will be critical. UNT is also changing special teams coordinators. Drew Svoboda arrives with an impressive resume. He served as Alabama’s special teams coordinator in 2021.
UNT will have to see how it all comes together on special teams, much like several other aspects of the program in coach Eric Morris’ debut campaign.
Running backs: Mean Green loaded in backfield again
Quarterbacks: Is Chandler Rogers the answer for the Mean Green?
Wide receivers/tight ends: Jyaire Shorter could push Mean Green to higher level
Offensive line: UNT has plenty of talent, but Mose’s departure leaves void
Defensive line: UNT has key players returning, but how do they fit in new system?
Linebackers: Mean Green have big void to fill following departure of KD Davis
Secondary: Highly regarded newcomers could play key roles

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - No. 25 Texas A&M softball is slated to face No. 5 Oklahoma State Thursday morning at 9 a.m. on ESPNU, to open the TaxAct Clearwater Invitational at the Eddie C. Moore Complex.
Each year the TaxAct Clearwater Invitational is recognized as one of the elite tournaments symbolizing softball season is in full swing. The 16-team field features 15 teams that qualified for the NCAA Softball Championship.
Texas A&M opens with No. 5 Oklahoma State, followed by No. 18 Arizona Friday morning at 9 a.m. on ESPN+. Each of Texas A&M’s first two opponents were Women’s College World Series qualifiers in 2022. The Aggies then take the diamond against No. 19 UCF Friday evening at 6 p.m. on ESPN+, before wrapping the weekend with matchups against USF (9:30 a.m., SECN) and Nebraska (12:30 p.m., ESPN+) on Saturday. All three were NCAA Regional qualifiers, including UCF who made an appearance in the Norman Super Regional.
Texas A&M is No. 25 in the latest D1 Softball national poll and is receiving votes in the ESPN.COM/USA Softball rankings. The ranking marks the first appearance in a national poll since February 22, 2019 when the Aggies were No. 22 in the USA Today/NFCA rankings. Statistically, the Aggies own the nation’s second best slugging percentage (.769), third best batting average (.441) and are fourth in scoring averaging 11.3 runs-per-game. In the circle, the Maroon & White boasts the country’s fourth-best ERA at 0.21.
Junior Trinity Cannon was named the SEC Co-Player of the Week on February 13, marking the first recognition of her career. Cannon posted an impressive .810 on-base percentage after registering eight hits and eight walks, while also scoring 11 runs. The Forney, Texas, native accumulated a .667 batting average and 1.083 slugging percentage with two doubles and a home run, while driving in six runs.
Texas A&M has gotten the bats going early and often scoring 85% of their season run total (68) within the first three innings. In the six games to start, the Aggies have scored 15 runs in the first, 16 in the second and 27 in the third. Most recently, Texas A&M tallied 21 runs in the first three innings against Texas A&M-Commerce, before adding on four more in the fourth inning to set a school record in runs in the 25-0 win on February 12.
There’s no tomfoolery when Aggie pitchers step in the circle as seniors Shaylee Ackerman and Madison Preston and sophomores Emily Leavitt and Emiley Kennedy have given up only one earned run through six games and have a combined 0.21 ERA. Opposing hitters are batting .122 with 14 hits and have been sat down 49 times in 34.0 innings of work.
Oklahoma State transfer Julia Cottrill leads a group of newcomers behind the plate that include true freshmen Gracyn Coleman and Riley Valentine. Cottrill has started 127 games in 133 appearances and boasts a .994 career fielding percentage, while only allowing seven passed balls. The junior leads the team with 18 total bases, 10 hits, three doubles and nine RBI.
