What is Water Damage Restoration in in Flower Mound, TX
If you're currently dealing with serious water damage from a flood, broken pipe, or other cause, you're probably not sure what to do next. While it's understandable to feel panicky, it's important that you have the water removed as quickly as possible. When structural damage and health hazards are at play, time is of the essence. The longer you wait, the worse the damage will get. The damage you see with your eyes is usually the tip of the iceberg - most water damage gets deep in your carpets and walls fast.
Atlas' water damage restoration services are focused on restoring and repairing the damage that water causes to commercial property. The primary purpose of our restoration services is to return your property to the condition it was in prior to the damage. Once your water damage has been mitigated, our team swoops in to begin the restoration process.
Depending on the scope and severity of your water damage, common water damage restoration services can include:
- Damaged Flooring and Wall Replacement
- Damaged Roof Restoration
- Mold Remediation
- Humidity and Moisture Testing
While little can be done to predict natural disasters, there are common signs you can keep an eye on to prevent serious water damage from occurring.
Common Signs of Commercial Water Damage in Flower Mound, TX
There's no convenient time to be sidelined with water damage when it comes to your commercial property and business. Water damage to your commercial or industrial property is particularly devastating because every hour that your business is closed means lost revenue and productivity. You do not just have to deal with damage to the structural integrity of your building - you have to deal with the disruption of service to your loyal customers.
The good news? Atlas is here when you need us most, with a team of highly-trained technicians and unmatched water damage restoration expertise. We're ready to tackle your problem and solve it in an efficient, effective manner, so you can keep your doors open and your clients happy.
As a business owner, you know that one of the best ways to prevent a disaster is to nip it in the bud before it gets out of hand. For that reason, keep an eye out for the following signs of water damage to your commercial property:
Look for Mold:
Mold can begin to grow just a day or two after water has taken hold of your business. If you see small signs of mold growth in an area where you suspect a leak, contact Atlas National Renovations ASAP to diagnose the problem.
Check Your Pipes:
If it's safe to do so, check out the piping inside and outside your commercial property. You want to keep a keen eye out for oxidation and corrosion around pipe fixtures. While you're at it, check your water heater for rust too. Corrosion or rust is a telltale sign of a water leak.
Check for Rings:
Dark spots on walls and ceilings usually indicate water damage. If you see rings around a stain, the damage is probably older. Several rings with different shades of color mean an intermittent issue, where the area has been soaked and dried several times.
Understand Your Property:
This is more of a suggestion than a sign. As the commercial property owner, you should know your building's pipe system. You should know what is old and new and what areas may be at risk for water damage. Keep an extra-close eye on areas that have a higher potential for leaks, especially during rainstorms.
Benefits of Commercial Water Damage Restoration

CaseBakes, a bakery in Webster, near Houston, posted a viral mean girl energy-themed cookie following the Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez drama that unfolded on social media last week between their fan bases.
The post pictured a decorated cookie that said, “In a World Full Of Hailey’s Be A Selena,” with the caption, “We don’t do the mean girl energy around here #teamselena.” The post has reached 11 million people, with over 175,000 reactions, 290 comments and 38,000 shares on Facebook.
For a bit of backstory, the drama comes after Hailey Beiber, Justin Beiber's wife, potentially threw shade at Gomez, Justin's ex-girlfriend, on social media. Then a Jenner got involved and our eyes rolled into the back of our heads and we blessedly blurred out for five seconds. Alas, people picked sides much like the Cardi B and Nicki Minaj Fashion Week fiasco back in 2018. This particular spat was whittled down to "mean girl energy."
CaseBakes specializes in gourmet cookies, cakes and custom-decorated sugar cookies. Owned by Food Network's Christmas Cookie Challenge finalist, Casey Cardona, the company holds a strong presence in the Webster community, where the owner was born and raised.
Hive Bakery in Flower Mound has been known to stake a stance and subsequently caused a ruckus with iced words as well. In May 2022 baker Haley Popp wrote "My Body My Choice" on the top of a cake, which didn't go over well with her conservative neighbors. But people from across North Texas showed up in support, and the customer line stretched out the door to the parking lot.
Inspiration for the decorated cookie came to the owner after a long week, when she decided to decorate an extra cookie. After searching "Selena and Hailey Drama clipart,” on Etsy, the owner purchased a template and whipped it up.
Cardona says CaseBakes stays updated on pop culture and current events, always looking for ways to tie those events into the design of the cookies for engagement. The bakery's Valentine's Day options were heavily influenced by the Netflix series Wednesday. After seeing the Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber drama unfold on Tiktok, Cardona decided to design the cookie, not knowing how controversial and popular the post would become.
“I actually was surprised how the quote was viewed in so many different ways,” Cardona said. “It was eye-opening for sure! When I saw the quote I did not view it in the same light as some of the other people, and that was a reminder that we can all see something in a different way or light. The post to be deemed as mean was the complete opposite effect of what we had intended.”
Cardona says after she turned off comments for the posts, users turned to Google and Yelp to voice their opinions, and some have directly messaged the local bakery with threats and vulgarities. Comments on the posts split the support of Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber; some called out the post for being mean, and others urged people not to take the post seriously.
The response was a surprise for Cardona. However, sales did increase, as did the bakery's followers. Just as the company received negative responses, it also received quite a few messages of encouragement.

A massive new development approved this week in Flower Mound could support 20,000 new residents along with stores where they shop and offices where they work.
The site is a rare 1,000 acres of vacant land surrounding all four corners of a major intersection at US 377 and FM 1171 near I-35W in far west Flower Mound.
Property Owner Jack Furst assembled the land in 22 different transactions over the years.
“You have one landowner which is great. And you have one town that’s really looking for a legacy project. And when you put those two together it should be quality deluxe. And what we want to do out there is create a vibrant mixed-use community with a lot of open space where modern life is occurring, where people are connecting with nature and have a blast,” Furst said.
Raw Interview: Property Owner Details Plan Behind Approved Flower Mound Development
NBC 5’s Ken Kalthoff talked with property owner Jack Furst, who assembled what amounts to 1,000 acres at all four corners of U.S. 377 and Farm-to-Market Road 1171 in western Flower Mound. It’s a development approved this week that promises to transform the southwestern corner of Denton County.
Residents in the booming subdivisions of far west Flower Mound have been waiting for commercial development to come their way.
James Johnson lives in the Trailwood community just west of the new project off Highway 1171.
“You want the basic things like milk? We head to go to Kroger on Long Prairie, about 10 miles away from here,” he said. “It would be nice to have things like some groceries or gas stations.”
After years of planning, that’s what the town of Flower Mound approved this week for the Furst property.
FM 1171 is already a 6-lane road through the property extending from I-35E in Lewisville all the way to I-35W west of Flower Mound Ranch.
The Texas Department of Transportation plans a new US 377 bridge over 1171.
“The western gateway to Flower Mound will soon have a very urban expression flyover interchange,” Furst said.
His plan calls for 3,000 single-family homes, 5,000 apartments and large office and retail areas.
“This is an opportunity for us to create really something spectacular for the town, something spectacular for its people, sticking with our values of modern living on the prairie,” Furst said.
Nathan Bryan lives in the nearby Canyon Falls neighborhood.
“I'm very excited about it, honestly. It takes me about half an hour to get to any grocery store,” Bryan said.
Some neighbors voiced opposition to the possibility of 5,000 apartments in the development.
Rules were added to require substantial office and commercial development at the site to support the need for residential before all those apartments could be constructed.
“I think that the town council did a great job putting controls around how the development of apartments would occur,” Bryan said. “A lot of the members of this community spent a lot of time asking for quality development and I think that’s what this project represents.”
Furst currently lives in Flower Mound’s Lakeside development on the east side of Grapevine Lake. It includes a similar mix of homes, stores and offices, but Furst said his project will have more parks and open space and a different flavor.
“We're really going to try to create this urban expression on the prairie,” he said.
And he intends to rename it Furst Ranch.
Completion may span 40 years.

Flower Mound, TX - February 15, 2023 —
Reilly Roofing and Gutters and Frank Reilly are pleased to announce that the top-ranked roofing company provides 5-star service for residential and commercial customers. The services and products include asphalt, metal, roof repairs, roof replacements, flat roofing, mod bit, PVC, BUR, TPO, and more. The flower mound roofing firm works directly with property management companies, corporations, architects, and consultants. The company serves homes, investment properties, and commercial properties. In addition, Reilly Roofing provides insurance remediation, roof repairs, roof asset management programs, and roofing consulting.
The company is fully insured, carrying $4 million in General Liability, Workers' Compensation, and Commercial automobile. The crews are certified by all of the major roofing manufacturers. The firm can provide clients with a No Dollar Limit ( NDL) Warranty on new roofing systems and restorations. As a full-service roofing contractor, Reilly Roofing and Gutters also includes replacing and repairing exterior insulation finishing systems, stucco, siding, and commercial HVAC units.
Additional details are available at https://reillyroofing.com/flower-mound-tx/
Professionally trained roofing contractors know what to look for when examining a roof before replacement. Roof maintenance services prevent the need for more extensive repairs to the roofing materials or the underlying structure.
The professional team has the expertise to spot potential issues before they become a problem. Failure to regularly maintain the roof reduces the length of its expected service life. Inspection should occur at least two times a year by a skilled roofing contractor to keep it functioning as long as possible and to maintain the warranty. Simple repairs over time can add years of service life to the roof.
Specific issues indicate that it may be time to have repairs done on the roof. These include curling, clawing, broken or missing shingles, buckling shingles, bare spots, or damaged flashing. For example, a leak in roofing may only become apparent after some time. However, it can cause damage to insulation and deck sheathing. Roofs with this type of issue should arrange a consultation with a licensed roofer.
About the Company:
Reilly Roofing and Gutters is a full-service roofing company. The company is well-respected for quality products and services. In addition, the firm is fully insured for protection and peace of mind to clients.

We Try 18 Bags of Chips From an Asian Market for National Potato Chip Day
We don’t have to tell you, dear reader, that March 14 is National Potato Chip Day. We don’t have to tell you, dear reader, that March 14 is National Potato Chip Day. It’s one of the few days that bring us together as a nation as we celebrate America’s No. 1 snack food, at least according to Big Potato. National Broccoli Day? Piffle. National Something on a Stick Day? Who needs it? (Both are real days that also occur in March, just for the record.)
However, if we’re going to do National Potato Chip Day, we’d like to put a bit of a spin on it, and when we happened upon what seemed like dozens of chip flavors at one of our local Asian markets, an epiphany ensued. What better way to celebrate this most American of holidays than by sampling several slightly offbeat chip flavors from Thailand? Buckle up, it’s going to be a savory ride.
Roasted Garlic Oyster The oyster flavor here seems to be what one would get after putting spent oyster shells in an old shoe for about two weeks. That didn’t stop us from finishing the bag, however.
Chili Crab Eh. Tastes of the associated seasonings, not really of the crab. Par for the course.
Nori Seaweed If your favorite part of a sushi roll is the outer seaweed wrapping, then this flavor is for you.
Mexican Chicken Tomato The tomato flavor is up front with no real chicken present. Slightly on the sweet side, and we’re still not really clear what about this is Mexican.
Sweet Basil Despite the pepper pictured on the bag, this seemed to have a very low spice level at first, but it gradually intensified. The flavor profile is reminiscent of a 4-year-old jar of dried basil that one might find in a forgotten spice cupboard.
Wasabi Mayo Flavor The wasabi, thankfully, drowns out the mayo, but is on the lower range of the wasabi punch scale, if such a scale exists. We like wasabi flavor that’s strong enough to clear one’s sinuses as an aftereffect.
Salted Egg Upon first opening this bag you are assaulted with an odor that smells a bit of wet sock, which is redeemed slightly with a flavor profile that evokes a slightly burned room-temperature fried egg, if you're into that sort of thing.
Roast Beef One is greeted with a strong odor that doesn't instill much confidence in the snacking experience to come. The flavor is reminiscent of meat drippings mixed with cold mashed potatoes on a leftover plate, but the sweetness ends up being a turnoff. This isn't a honey ham chip, after all. Come on.
Extra Barbecue We had high hopes for this one, what with the picture on the package depicting what appears to be chicken kabobs on a grill. but at the end of the day these simply have a slight barbecue chip flavor and are boring.
Truffle These were great. The truffle flavor didn't come across as artificial, and there was also a secondary buttery taste just as one finds in the real McCoy. Thumbs up.
Sour Twist You'd be surprised to learn that this is really ... sour. We were taken off guard. This has a really intense lime or vinegar flavor, and based on the packaging, the "twist" would appear to be some sort of pepper, along with the assault on our tastebuds that came out of the blue without warning.
Roasted Cumin Lamb Skewer Another in the long line of things that capture the seasoning of the protein if not the protein itself; this did have a hint of lamb in the aroma when the bag was first opened, however. Now if we could only find a bag of mint-flavored potato chips to accompany it.
Ghost Pepper As spicy as you'd expect, but edible, which is a nice twist on most ghost pepper-flavored things.
Strong Beer Taste We had to translate the packaging using a phone camera and the Google Translate app, but it seems valid what with the glass of beer on the label. This does taste of beer: not strong, but slight. To be more specific, it tastes slightly like a room-temperature flat pilsner beer. Too bad they didn't go with an IPA.
Grilled Squid Grilled squid has the smell of some sort of aquarium fish food with a flavor that, amazingly, slightly redeems itself. Still, we aren't guppies.
Salted Shrimp Very similar to the grilled shrimp-flavored chips with an unsettling aroma and a flavor that is only slightly more appetizing. In this case less so, though the salt-and-pepper combo that's upfront isn't bad. It's a shame that the pictured beer didn't make an appearance.
Takoyaki This had a mustardy-meat profile, which tastes better than it sounds. Takoyaki typically is filled with minced octopus, but it's hard to tell here. Checking the ingredient list we find potatoes, oil and "meatball flavor seasoning," so that clears it all up.
Beef Wellington These were much better than the simple roast beef-flavored chips mentioned above. This tasted like a flavorful hunk of beef that had not been sitting too long under the heat lamp at the local Golden Corral on a Sunday afternoon, and we mean that in a good way. This takes top honors along with the truffle chips.
So there you have it. Happy Potato Chip Day, indeed. Why constrain yourself to blah, ho-hum flavors like sour cream and onion, vinegar or barbecue when a world of weird and odd chip flavors awaits those willing to venture out to some Asian markets? Sure, some flavors may be a bit off-putting, but it's just $1.99. And to be clear, even though many of the chips we sampled above had an issue or two, that didn’t stop us from finishing each and every bag. We’re Americans, after all.
